So was it a success? OR did it flop as bad as Dragon Ball in the box office?

The D2Y initiated Green Wesak was a totally new sorta revolutionary movement that was started, aimed at instilling the “Save the Earth” mentality into minds of the public. And the first step to it was to encourage recycling.

Well, I can’t say that it was major success in terms of educating the public because as the rest of D2Y gang would agree, there are bound to be ignorant people as well as those who can’t really be bothered even though all we asked on that day was to throw your into the right bin.

Still, we’re looking at how such a first effort project like this make a difference, where a group of youngsters who really don’t know much about recycling come about try to get people to be aware of such a recycling project.

And in that sense, I daresay we succeed.

As what Wing said, “People who are very concerned and impressed by the effort we’re putting in, and tried to help to make a difference. (walk in volunteers, kitchen people who helped to place their oil and waste nicely in our bins, devotees who came and said “Good effort guys.”, other volunteers kept asking us whether we’ve eaten, ask us to rest etc)”

“We definitely made a difference. Most of the people around the temple knew that there’s this recycling campaign going on. What we were doing is definitely an eye catcher and we could do more to educate them.”

Couldn’t be said any better than the one who was running around the whole day.

This year has been a great effort, maybe next year we can aim bigger and achieve better.

For now, cheers! (even though its belated)
